We are looking to hire a Commercial Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Mexico (remote). In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts in a fully remote environment, while leveraging Scissero’s proprietary AI-powered legal tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of US-centric commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, MSAs, SaaS agreements, and Data Processing Addenda (DPAs).

• Maintain high-quality standards across all deliverables, ensuring that contract reviews align with US market standards and specific client playbooks.

• Optimise contract playbooks by translating complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidelines for our AI-augmented workflows.

• Identify and mitigate risks within commercial documents while maintaining a focus on business velocity and operational excellence for our US clients.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in our engineering and product teams to provide user feedback that refines Scissero’s AI models for better accuracy and performance.

• Drive continuous improvement in our managed services delivery by identifying recurring contract patterns and suggesting automation or product enhancements.

• Maintain accurate data within our internal systems to track contract lifecycles, operational metrics, and billing information.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Qualified Lawyer with a valid professional licence and a strong understanding of commercial law principles.

• 2+ years of PQE in commercial or corporate law, with a proven track record of handling high-volume contract negotiations.

• Excellent Professional English (written and spoken) is mandatory, as the role involves daily negotiation and drafting for US-based clients and stakeholders.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail in technical legal drafting.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Experience with workflow management tools (e.g., Airtable, Front, or CLM software) is a huge plus!

• Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and cross-functional team coordination across multiple time zones.

• Enthusiasm for new technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a desire to innovate within the legal industry.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global/remote team.
